TINAMARIE COX

Writer / Artistically Inclined/ Daydreamer

tinamariethinkstoomuch

Welcome / 2025
Greetings Visitor! Nanu-Nanu.
The weirdo behind this organized nonsense is Tinamarie Cox. You'll usually find me around the internet with the handle @tinamariethinkstoomuch.
Sometimes I find it a great disadvantage to be a human. Regardless, I am a carbon-based life form whose base of operations is on Earth. I am a woman, wife, mother, moody melomaniac, and a daydreamer (among other things) with aspirations to do more than just exist in the universe.
I love writing poetry and short stories, but rarely stick to a single genre. I'm not the type of person who can set themselves to only one thing (there are too many things to like and do!). When I can't put words together in a coherent manner, I paint, draw, take pictures of random things, read, and listen to music. My head is usually in the clouds thinking about the next creative project.
In my free time, I am a Reader for Querencia Press and Poetry Reader for As Alive Journal. And I'm grateful to have been a part of Phoenix Oasis Press's POP 2025 Anthology reading panel this year. I hope to use these valuable experiences in my future projects.
If you meet me in person, you'll find me shy and reserved. I'm introverted and anxious about everything, so hang in there while I warm up to you. I don't bite... usually.

Please utilize the navigation tabs, buttons, and links to explore the site and my work (and note that it's best viewed on a desk/laptop). Fingers crossed, you'll like it more than you don't. But if you don't, that's okay, too. I'd like to consider this page a small glimpse into my head. It's complicated and it's not for everyone.

To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist. ~Oscar Wilde

NEW for 2026: A numbers game
Picture
A Numbers Game is Tinamarie Cox’s follow-up poetry collection to Through a Sea Laced with Midnight Hues. Where Midnight Hues focused on traveling through a depressive episode, A Numbers Game dives deeper and explores the beginnings of her mental health struggles. Her second book is an in-depth look at the emotional and psychological aspects surrounding her suicide attempt at age 19.

2025: Through a sea laced with midnight hues
Through A Sea Laced With Midnight Hues /2025
Through A Sea Laced With Midnight Hues is my first full-length poetry collection published with Nymeria Publishing in February 2025.
Through a Sea Laced with Midnight Hues dives into the mentality and emotions that can overtake a person during a depressive episode. This is a journey alongside mental illness via poetry and prose which includes a raw account of the ups, downs, and hopelessness. Travel through a sea laced with midnight hues and find hope on dry land with the sunrise.

A Collection of Morning Hours reflects on the simple beauty of nature as well as the brevity of seasons and life. This gathering of poems is an existential and poetic glimpse of the world in the safe space of a quiet and peaceful summer morning among nature.
